Everyone has a contribution to make. People facing life challenges can open our hearts and remind us of our own vulnerability.

On December 3rd Vickie Cammack will be presenting as part of a round table discussion being hosted by The Young Foundation in the UK.
This roundtable discussion, hosted by the Young Foundation, in partnership with the Plan Institute, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care, will set out to explore these key questions:
- How can these social networks be created and sustained in the real world?
- How can carers and families – the informal care system – be supported?
- Can informal and formal care systems link together – if so, how?
These are questions that that need to be answered in order to meaningfully shape the future relationship between individuals, families and the state when it comes to care and support. One of the biggest challenges facing
society is the increasing number of people who are isolated and the reduced capacity and limitations of our formal systems to support them. There is now strong evidence that social networks are key determinants of health and
improved social outcomes. Vickie will help to shape this discussion in the UK.
