Emma Cochrane, Tyze’s VP Strategy & Operations, served as a judge for the 2009 IT Hero Awards and was asked to participate again in 2010 as a new group of entries in the corporate and community categories vied for recognition. Presented each year by ITAC and Industry Canada, award winners are judged on their creative application of information technology in improving the lives of Canadians.
The IT Hero Awards program was developed in 2001 by ITAC in partnership with Industry Canada to celebrate and recognize the achievements of people across Canada who used technology in innovative ways to help others. The award was launched as a feature of IT WEEK, and creates an opportunity for Canadians to reflect on the successful impact of IT on society.
Winners will be announced this summer.
