Thanks to an initiative funded in part by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, we are delighted to be able to donate complete, customized Tyze sites and training for up to 13 organizations in California.

Challenging times bring into focus the importance of community and the need for formal service providers to mobilize friends, family and the wider community in celebration and care of those they support. Through our online Tyze service, we are now able to facilitate this type of community building online.

Tyze is a technology-enabled service that makes it easy for social service organizations, governments, and healthcare providers to work collaboratively and stay in touch with the friends and families of the people in their care. Tyze provides secure, private, and personal online networks that coordinate community involvement and help to strengthen the links between formal and informal care providers. As a part of our project with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, we are able to select 3 sites in California to use the Tyze service free of charge.

We are encouraging organizations in California to complete a brief Expression of Interest by June 30, 2010. We will review all letters of interest promptly and conduct a follow-up interview, making selections by the end of July 10, 2010.

Selected organizations will receive full set up, training, and hosting support. In addition, organizations will partner with us in a valuable community of practice environment.

For more information about the criteria to be used in selection and to apply, you can download our Request for Expressions of Interest
