Chantal is an integral part of our growing Tyze team. She is responsible for giving demonstrations, developing and delivering in-person, facilitated and remote training as well as providing ongoing support to our clients. Chantal uses her people skills, proactive personality and management abilities to help us grow the company. She also delivers client on-boarding sessions and provides sales support to the VP of Client Services.
Chantal is a citizen of the world. Born in Thailand, she grew up in Laos, India, Mozambique, Jordan, Kenya and Nepal. She has taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and technical English in Japan and Italy. In New York, she worked for the United Nations Ombudsperson and with Media for Humanity, an NGO addressing child trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Chantal joined Tyze after working as a research consultant with the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre in Florence, Italy. She undertook preparatory research for the United Nations global study on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, with a special focus on violence against children. She also assisted with preparations for the Third World Congress Against Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Prior to the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre, Chantal worked with Digital Cement, a subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc., where she supervised and coordinated marketing, promotional and website materials for the company. She also managed Pitney Bowes Marketing Services’ client events and oversaw the company’s market and industry outreach through multiple media and venues.
Chantal has event planning and fund raising experience and has helped organize events for the UNICEF Canada/Spread the Net campaign and for the Bill Clinton and Frank Guistra Sustainable Growth Initiative, in support of sustainable development projects in Latin America.
Chantal holds an M.A. in Culture and Communication from New York University, as well as a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from McGill University.
